What people are saying about NewNet 66.
From Silo Public Schools
Good afternoon. I just wanted to say thank you for all that you, Beverly and Bryan do to present Tech Days. It is extremely informative and it is a very good time to meet our counter parts from other schools and to see how they do things and to find solutions to problems. I can’t speak for other schools but being from a small rural school we appreciate everything that you do for us and find it hard to image how we would get things done without your help and expertise.
Keep up the great work.
From Miami Public Schools
Thank You for this morning. We could not have done any of this without you. You always drop everything to help, and I just want you to know from us how much you guys are appreciated.
From Catoosa Public Schools
Just want you all to know how much we appreciate you. We know you are doing your best--which is far better than most people's best and not even comparable to what most people give. Thank you for all that you do for us and for your other schools. While we can be a bit self-sufficient, most can't. You make it possible to enhance the education of thousands of Oklahoma students. Without you, there would even more serious failures in the educational system than we are already seeing. Take a breath and have a day!

What a day! Network crashed--came back up...then storms knocked power
off--came back up...then started testing...kid kicks power strip out of
wall--killed power to 4 computers...can we talk about stress here? You guys
are doing great. I know you go over and above to keep us all up and running.
There are just some things beyond our control.

NewNet 66,
I just want to say thanks for all the things you do for us. I know that I get effusive (just being wordy for Mike) sometimes, but you really do an extraordinary job of supporting us, and I know you do the same for your other schools. In fact, I know you do even more for them because many have even fewer resources and skills than we do. So thank you.

Hey guys,
I know that you guys have had a few (or many) hairy days recently. I also know that you probably only hear the bad things. I just wanted to let you know I think you are doing an admirable job. I appreciate all that you do for us, and I especially appreciate your patience to help bring people like myself along so that things are done correctly. Again thanks for working so hard to keep us all going. Please let me know if there are things I can do to help, and certainly let me know if there are things I am doing that I need to change.
From Panola/Wilburton Public Schools
I, for one, know that working with technology brings very very few "thank-you's". Usually people are so frustrated by the time IT gets there, they associate IT with pain and misery.
Anyhow, thank-you for your quick work for me at both Wilburton and Panola. My networks are running great with the bandwidth upgrades. It's nice to be able to pick up the phone and have the person who can solve the problem...any problem. Rather than having to navigate through a predetermined script spoken with barely-english...hoping and praying to be transferred to Tier 2 support.
Keep up the good work!

Where do we begin when trying to describe the service provided by NewNet 66? The best move in our technology plan was making the decision to move from our existing Internet Provider to NewNet 66. Because of your advice and guidance, our network has grown from virtually nothing to a full-fledged fully switched network. We now have a fiber grid between all buildings with Extreme switches at all sites. This means that because of the dedication and time provided by NewNet 66 in helping us design and implement this network, we have a system to be proud of and are willing to show anyone. We don't have downtime!
I must say I've never worked with a vendor as dedicated and committed to taking care of their customers. I didn't just find someone to work on my Internet, I have partners watching over our business to make sure it's always up and running. Because of the training NewNet 66 has provided and their willingness to answer my questions, I'm constantly learning how to do it better and do it right the first time.
Thanks Mike and Beverly for all you do. You can have anyone call me at any time. I will be more than happy to let them know what a valuable service you provide.

To Newnet 66,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for everything that you do for us. You have continuously stepped above and beyond the call of duty.
From the very beginnings of our relationship with you, you have been willing to do everything within your power to get our questions answered and our problems resolved. On several occasions, this service involved your going beyond your responsibilities to us. You have never hesitated to make inquiries on our behalf and be the go-between for us even when it involved things that you would normally not be involved in.
You are one of the few organizations that make it policy to keep your clients informed not only of the threats to us that are running around out there, but also the issues that you are dealing with there to keep the network up and running, and keeping us up-to-date on the improvements that you are making to the system.
With the offering of “Tech Day” you have done a wonderful job of familiarizing those of us on this end with the terminology and knowledge that helps us to help you when we have an issue. You are also quick to make a phone call to check on us when you notice a glitch in the system involving our school system, often times even before we’ve noticed that there is a problem.
Thank you, once again, for being such nice people to deal with and for wanting to educate us so that we may be better capable of troubleshooting and answering questions that you may have for us.
Sincerely,
Della Jones

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you, the NewNet 66 Consortium, and all the good people at Southwestern Bell (Larry Clenney, Angela Eversole, et al...) for an almost seamless transition in our change of ISP's. Everything was very carefully planned and well thought out in advance, which resulted in a very minimum of down time and very little after-the-fact 'fixing'. I guess I should qualify this by saying that that's pretty amazing when you have 300 faculty and staff, 2,500 students, 12 T1's in 10 physical locations, an equal amount of routers, 24 csu/dsu's, 750 workstations, 17 file servers, and 14 network printers!!!
I would also like to take a moment and brag on NewNet 66's 'product' and well as the 'quality of service'. From the web, mail, and filtering servers to the actual monitoring of our WAN(not to mention the consortium itself!), as well as the blistering fast video network which is READY for H.323, I am just amazed at how smoothly things run and how efficiently problems are dealt with. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank SW Bell for helping in maintaining our T1's and in particular to Randy, one of our local Bell technicians, who really went the extra mile to track down some problems with one of our extended demarcs at the high school.
This spirit of cooperation, I believe, is what makes this consortium of schools, in concert with our corporate partners, a truly unique and efficient venture.
Thank you Mike for your tireless efforts! You do this for the right reason. It's what's best for kids!
Most sincerely,
Scott Harris
